SAMS Student Council is a leadership group led by Mrs. Tanner. It is an organization of energetic and responsible students who have a lot of enthusiasm and school spirit. Members do well academically, exhibit good behavior, are hard workers and are positive role models in our school. We are "DOERS" and work diligently to make a difference in our school, our community and our world.

Events and activities we are involved in throughout the year:
Financial Donations:
- Kasi G. Jump for the Cure/Dempsey Center
- Families in need in RSU #54
Other donations:
- Thanksgiving food drive to make up 150 food baskets for the needy in our area
- Pj's & books purchased for the Sweet Dreams Project
- Creating of tray favors for a local nursing home
- Purchased the television system in the SAMS lobby for displaying student activities and events
- Fall 2019-Over 5,000 diapers collected and donated to KVCAP for needy families in Somerset County
- Donations of books to the Annual Summer Reading Book Fair in June
School and Community Activities:
- Weekly recycling of paper at our school
- Sponsor monthly hat and school spirit days
- Honor all staff in May for Teacher Appreciation Week
- Hand out American flags in the Memorial Day Parade
- Participate in the Holiday Stroll by making crafts with children during Santa’s breakfast
- Creating of Christmas cards and Valentines for our veterans at Togus
- Sponsor schoolwide dances
